Press Release - Toronto Public Screening

 

New documentary film Soul on Ice: Past Present & Future will be premiering in Toronto Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Rainbow Cinemas Market Square (80 Front Street East). Directed and produced by Toronto’s Kwame Damon Mason and Michael P. Douglas and written by Damon Kwame Mason, the film focuses on how black athletes are making a name for themselves in the sport of hockey. The film has also been selected as part of the Edmonton International Film Festival, with a screening date of October 7, 2015. READ MORE

Press Release - Washington D.C. Screening

Award-winning documentary film Soul on Ice: Past Present & Future has been chosen for a private screening in Washington D.C., with the National Hockey League. Hosted by NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman and Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis, the screening will take place Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 7:00 PM, at East Street Cinema (555 Eleventh Street NW, Washington D.C.). There will be a short question and answer period with writer and director Damon Kwame Mason and invited special guests including retired NHL players Grant Fuhr, Anson Carter, Kevin Weekes and Willie O’Ree.  READ MORE
